How to Get Rid of Peacocks

Peacocks are from the species of birds that are known for their beauty. Their colorful feathers make their beauty a universal factor to be admired. Females of these peacocks are known as peahens. Like other birds, peacocks also eat plants, insects and other small organisms. They are further divided into three main species; Green peacock, Indian peacocks and Congo peacocks. Although these birds are loved almost by everyone, people keep them in their gardens to enhance their beauty and to enjoy their subtle screams. Along with being the beauty to admire, these birds possess a wild nature. They could be dangerous for the gardens in the neighborhood as they could destroy their plants, further, they could harm your car or your cedar sidings, etc, they do this when they see their reflection in any reflecting object and then they try to attack it.

Getting rid of peacocks:

Showering them with water:

Like many other birds, peacocks are afraid of being wet. If you are feeling irritated by a peacock, just simple shower it with water, it will automatically run away of your with the threat of being wet. They actually feel so irritated by being wet.

Cover your garden with long fences: 

Peacocks are among the largest birds'. Being the largest they can jump at the heights. For this, putting small-sized fences wouldn't help you get rid of peacocks but if you put long fences around your ground, out of the reach of peacocks' jump, it would help your ground to stay safe from peacocks.

Red pepper flakes:

Peacocks are insects and plant eaters. They eat sweet fruits as well and although they could some spices and citrus fruits too. But keeping your fruits and vegetables safe from their reach could still be possible by spraying red pepper flakes on them, these flakes would be a little too hot for peacocks to bear and they will never approach again towards them. 

Blocking access to trees:

If you have trees in your gardens or around your place, you will probably have a peacock on them. Peacocks find their roosting on the tress, especially they like the trees with large branches the most for their homes, so if you have any of the trees like those, just block the peacocks' path towards it or cut its large branches down.

Birds’ Scarers:

Objects those scare the birds could also be used to get rid of peacocks, their scarers may include; lasers, scarecrows, dogs or hawk kites, etc.
